Plain-text web design

I’m seeing more and more plain-text websites pop up.

They’re straight-forward.
There’s no fluff.
They tell.
You read.
And that’s it.

… I like it.

To me, these websites are more likely to focus on the right things.

They prove websites can be simple.

They start and end with what’s important: the words.

Sure there’s awesome frameworks and tools for creating sites. But maybe a text editor is enough.

Sure it’s a little weird. So what?

Maybe the next time you want to design a site, open up your text editor and start writing.

And say good by to photoshop
